Price Match Policy
At Machinery Connection Inc, we work hard to offer competitive pricing on our shipping containers, outboard motors, and related products. If you find an identical product advertised for less by an eligible competitor, we may be able to match the price.
What Prices Will We Match?
Machinery Connection Inc may match a competitor’s current regular advertised price when the product is identical to an item we currently sell and is immediately available for purchase from both businesses.
To qualify, the competing product must match the product we offer in all relevant details, including:
- Brand or manufacturer
- Model
- Size or dimensions
- Horsepower, where applicable
- Specifications
- Quantity
- Condition (new, used, one-trip, etc.)
- Included accessories or equipment
The competitor must have the product currently in stock and available for immediate purchase.
When comparing online prices, we may consider the competitor’s applicable shipping, freight, or delivery charges when determining the final comparable price.
Price matching is subject to verification and approval by Machinery Connection Inc.
How Do I Request a Price Match?
To request a price match, contact our customer service team and provide evidence of the competitor’s current advertised price.
You may provide:
- A link to the competitor’s product page
- A copy or screenshot of a current advertisement
- A current catalog showing the product and price
- Other documentation that clearly identifies the product, seller, and advertised price
The information provided must allow us to verify that the competing product is identical and currently available.
We may contact the competitor or review their website to confirm the product’s price, condition, specifications, and availability.
Price match requests received outside our regular business hours will be reviewed on the next business day.
What Prices Do We Not Match?
Our Price Match Policy does not generally apply to:
- Special-order or non-stock products
- Custom or modified shipping containers
- Pre-order or pre-release products
- Clearance or closeout prices
- Liquidation sales
- Limited-time promotions
- Flash sales
- Coupon or promotional-code pricing
- Free-gift promotions
- Bundle offers
- Storewide or category-wide discounts
- Membership or association discounts
- Trade-in values
- Auction prices
- Marketplace or third-party seller listings
- Pricing errors or misprints
- Used products compared with new products
- Products with different specifications or conditions
- Competitor shipping or free-shipping promotions
- Installation or labor charges
Certain products may also be excluded from price matching because of manufacturer pricing requirements or other supplier restrictions.
Product Condition
Products must be offered in the same condition to qualify.
For example, a new outboard motor cannot be price matched against a used, refurbished, open-box, or previously installed motor.
Likewise, a new or one-trip shipping container cannot be compared with a used container of a different grade or condition.
Shipping and Delivery Costs
When evaluating a price match, we compare the reasonable total cost of obtaining the product.
A competitor advertising a lower product price but charging additional freight or delivery fees may not necessarily have a lower comparable total price.
Machinery Connection Inc shipping and delivery charges are not themselves subject to price matching.
Verification and Approval
All price match requests are reviewed individually.
We reserve the right to verify:
- Competitor identity
- Product availability
- Product specifications
- Product condition
- Advertised price
- Applicable shipping charges
- Validity of the advertisement
Submitting a request does not guarantee that a price match will be approved.
Machinery Connection Inc reserves the right to decline requests that do not satisfy the requirements of this policy.
