This custom-spec ITI Cargo 6×12 single-axle trailer combines a lightweight, half-ton towable footprint with premium structural upgrades. While typical 3K utility cargo trailers use thin .024″ aluminum sheets over loose 24-inch framing centers, this unit is built with a reinforced commercial frame and a high-contrast styling package.

We upgraded this trailer to 16-inch on-center tubular steel wall posts to maximize side-wall rigidity. Visually, it features a factory Blue- Blackout Package which pairs premium Blue .080″ Piedmont Composite Panels with all-black exterior trim extrusions, a black aluminum nose cap, a black rear hoop, and matching black aluminum wheels. Running on a 3,500 lb. drop axle with a 2,990 lb. GVWR, this trailer provides excellent cargo space and a 6’6″ interior height without requiring an auxiliary electric brake controller.

1. Factory Blackout Trim & Aluminum Wheels

   This trailer moves completely away from traditional silver trim and raw steel wheels. The custom Blackout Package wraps the blue composite panels in solid black trim extrusions, a black rear hoop, a black aluminum nose cap, and a black 24-inch ATP stone guard. The aesthetic is completed by factory-upgraded 5-lug black aluminum wheels for a clean, commercial fleet look. STEEL SPARE TIRE INCLUDED ON THIS UNIT!

2. Upgraded 16″ On-Center Tubular Wall Framing

   Standard cargo walls tend to flex and bow outward when loaded or driven at highway speeds due to wide 24-inch stud spacing. This unit features an upgrade to 16-inch on-center tubular steel wall posts. This dense framing pattern increases the trailer’s structural resistance to crosswinds and provides solid structural anchoring points for installing custom interior tool racks or shelving units.

3. Thick .080″ Piedmont Composite Skin & Screwless Finish

   The exterior sidewalls are constructed from Piedmont .080″ composite panels rather than standard thin-gauge utility aluminum. This composite skin is highly resistant to impact dents, dings, and the thermal warping (“oil-canning”) caused by seasonal temperature changes. Because the panels are bonded screwless, the exterior presents a smooth surface.

4. Full 6’6″ Interior Height & Taller Rear Opening

   Equipped with a standard 78-inch interior ceiling height, this trailer allows most operators to stand upright inside the box comfortably. The tall profile scales the rear ramp opening to a full 74 inches of vertical clearance, making it simple to roll side-by-sides, zero-turn mowers, or high-profile tool carts straight onto the deck.

5. Weatherproof Chassis Foundation

   • BattleCoat Protection: The 4″x2″ steel tube tongue and front structural rails are protected by a textured polyurea coating to stop rock chips, scratches, and surface rust.

   • Moisture Defenses: A polyethylene vapor barrier isolates the steel frame from the smooth composite panels, while an asphalt emulsion undercoating seals the underside of the 3/4″ engineered wood floor from road spray.
